Oobee

GENERAL AVAILABILITY

The Oobee Accessibility Suite (formerly Purple A11y) is an open-source ecosystem that helps software development teams identify and fix accessibility issues across websites and applications. It helps to weave accessibility directly into every phase of the web service lifecycle. This empowers the entire product team to seamlessly ensure a more inclusive digital experience for seniors and individuals with disabilities.

Key Benefits

Oobee assists teams in building platforms that are genuinely usable for all citizens, ensuring seniors and persons with disabilities (PWDs) have seamless access to digital services.

The Oobee Accessibility Suite dives straight into code to give an initial, comprehensive assessment of a website's accessibility status before code issues compound.

Instead of just flagging errors, the suite streamlines the entire workflow so development teams can rapidly identify, understand, and resolve accessibility-related code issues.

Platforms accommodate varying technical skill levels to keep the entire project team involved. Non-technical officers and designers use intuitive visual reports, while developers and testing engineers leverage advanced command-line tools and code extensions.

Fits easily into existing workflows. Automated scans can be conducted locally on development machines during early coding or integrated directly into the CI/CD pipeline to act as deployment quality gates.

Defects are caught at every stage of a web service's timeline. The tool flags bugs locally during early coding, blocks regressions inside automated testing pipelines, and monitors compliance trends once live in production.

Oobee natively connects with other WISE products, including WOGAA Inspect Plus and WebSG (in development). This builds accessibility consideration directly into the core platforms engineering and agency teams already use daily.
