StackOps is a key monitoring component of the Singapore Government Tech Stack (SGTS), designed to boost observability and support Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) . The goal of StackOps is to help agencies enhance the resilience and quality of their systems and sites through an IM -compliant monitoring/observability platform that not only tracks system health but also offers insights into application performance. StackOps serves as a common platform, enabling agencies to collaborate on monitoring data and share insights on monitoring needs within the community.

Beyond basic monitoring, StackOps also offers observability capabilities. It collects logs, traces, and metrics from applications, microservices, servers, and databases to identify the root causes of issues effectively.

With StackOps, agencies can fully adopt Site Reliability EngineeringSRE by integrating automated monitoring and logging into the development cycle, ensuring operational concerns and reliability are inherent in their systems from the start.

Key Benefits

  1. Simplified Monitoring Setup: StackOps offers quick deployment across any cloud solution provider for Government on Commercial Cloud (GCC) GCC CSPs, equipped with built-in security controls compliant with IM-8 standards, supporting up to the Confidential Cloud-Eligible classification.

  2. Accelerated Mean Time to Resolution (MTTR): StackOps enhances observability, empowering teams to effectively monitor critical applications and services to ensure end-to-end resiliency. This improvement in observability leads to better IT operational efficiency, reduced MTTR, and actionable insights that boost developer productivity.

  3. Reduced Operation Overheads: As a managed -SaaS monitoring platform, StackOps not only offers platform reliability but also regularly conducts Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) to safeguard data. Furthermore, it utilises CSP autoscaling to align monitoring resource capacity with usage, thereby reducing the risk of any disruptions.

  4. Collaborative Monitoring across Whole- of- Government (WOG): Beyond its native SaaS monitoring capabilities, StackOps enhances its data schema to facilitate the sharing and collaboration of monitoring data within the Whole of Government (WOG). It also introduces a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) innersourcing framework, allowing StackOps users to share and access SIEM rule sets, furthering the platform’s utility for WOG initiatives.
