How It Works

AISAY offers two ways to process documents, depending on your needs — production-grade APIs for developers building agency systems, and a no-code Web Portal for officers who need to process documents directly.

APIs for System Integration (available via PlatformAI)

AISAY provides three REST APIs that you can integrate into any government system. All APIs accept documents as file uploads and return structured results in JSON.

The Key Information Extraction (KIE) API is the most versatile — you send a document along with a JSON schema describing the fields you want, and AISAY returns the extracted data in a single synchronous call. The same API handles extraction, analysis, and verification tasks depending on how you write your schema. The Classification API sorts documents into categories you define, and the OCR API returns all visible text in markdown format.

To get started with the APIs, you'll need an API key. Staging keys are free and available for immediate testing — visit PlatformAI to view the Document capabilities, and request for a key at https://go.gov.sg/aisaykey. You'll receive your key and endpoint details, and can start making API calls right away. When you're ready for production, the same form handles production key requests.

Choose between two model options when making calls: Flagship (best for text-heavy documents up to 150 pages) or Local (hosted in Singapore, faster, better for visual content up to 50 pages). Just set a single parameter — no model configuration or infrastructure setup required.

Web Portal for Officers

The AISAY Web Portal is designed for public officers who need to process documents without any coding or technical setup. It runs entirely in your browser and is accessible from COMET devices.

To get started, visit https://aisay.ai.tech.gov.sg and log in with your gov.sg or edu.sg email. No registration or approval is needed — enter your email, verify with an OTP, and you're in.

From there, pick a model, choose "Specify Your Own Fields," and write prompts in plain English describing what you want to extract from your documents. Upload up to 100 files at a time, and AISAY processes each one against your prompts. Results are previewed on screen and can be downloaded as a combined Excel file — one row per document, one column per field.

You can save your prompt configurations as templates and reuse them across sessions, making it easy to set up a repeatable process for documents you handle regularly.
